Born and Raised

Born and raised in San Jose, I think that makes me a local. The question is, "A local of what?"

I never really understood the local culture or history that surrounded me throughout my younger years. Recently, I purchased a home in downtown San Jose and suddenly my eyes began to widen. I feel a new connection to the city and those around me.

My interests in local history, culture, real estate and politics has heightened significantly in the last several months. This blog will hopefully serve as a statement and representation of the world around me.

My goal is to explore the San Jose that I never new as a child through words, images, and a little research. I plan to explore local history, real estate, development, transportation and politics. Hopefully I can dig a little deeper than most"local" residents.
